Who’s Eddie?
Here is the curious case of Eddie Rocket.
He was born in 1989 in South Anne Street, Dublin. Although he has only been around for 21 years and has Irish parents, he has always had an overwhelming obsession with fifties, feel good America.
It is rumoured that Eddie was exposed to hours of Elvis tracks as a baby and watched daily re-runs of “Happy Days” as a young child. Into his teen years, Eddie also became fanatical about rockets, astronauts and Cape Canaveral.
When Eddie grew up, he embarked on a mission to create a 1950’s American Style City Diner. And so, in the heart of Dublin, Eddie Rocket’s became host to great tasting food from a menu of favourites including:
- Fresh, Hand-Pressed Hamburgers
- Hand-Dipped Shakes and Malts
- Classic Hotdogs, Sandwiches and Wraps
- Soda’s & Floats
- Knickerbocker Glory

With the help of celebrity fans such as Miss Miley Cyrus and Mister Eminem spreading the good word – One City Diner has now turned into Forty One! Eddie’s Diners are now all over Ireland and beyond. In 2011 he launched The Shake Shop on Wheels and The Shake Shop Nassau St!
